Hi all new to mini forum although had a cooper in 04. I took a new cooper s for a drive 2 weeks ago and was really impressed with the improvements in ride quality, the one I drove had sports suspension and 17s. I found my wfes old cooper very uncomfortable on 17s.
Im considering ordering one of the new JCW minis for september as by the time you spec aerokit etc on a normal cooper s you may as well have the factory supplied jobbie. I know its not out yet and no one has driven it but what do others think on here? Im not that bothered about the increased bhp but brakes, chasis and gearbox improvements are appealing.
Thanks.

Thats semi ironic I have just purchased a 6 month old 4300 mile cooper s from vines at redhill. Decided that 25k+ after a few options is getting silly for a mini so got a fantastic spec cooper s for £4400 under its original list price. Picking it up on Saturday.

They look very promising.

I've got one of the 189bhp Cooper S works, got it in January. LSD, 17inch wheels and sports susp. Absolutely stonking car, only 0.3 second a lap slower round brands Indy than my tweaked Elise was with the same driver and similar conditions and I believe more to come once we get to grips with it properly (not that we time of course, someone told me!!!!!). I can't think what the 210 will be like, the front of our one is all over the place with the TC off, I reckon road cut slicks for the track at least are the answer.
