Autocar are running a best handling car competition in this weeks issue in which the Noble is featured.

OK, and what did you think of it? Not as powerful as your Noble obviously, but the two my missus had were quite sublime handling wise, dead easy to catch and a good intro to RWD.

I love it. It gives me my occasional open top fix and is great to chuck about - don't tell her that though

When I say "easy to catch", that doesn't mean in all weathers - span Emms old '5 on a roundabout one morning in the wet, put it up on a grass verge, mud everywhere. I'd only just taken the bloody thing to a jetwash too

I hate them, but only from the principle that two (yes two) of them have hit Nick when he's been driving, the second wrote off his car!

However, as for chassis engineering, for a 1.8 it's absolutly spot on but not as sweet as my Elise IMHO (but much more friendly!)

Actually they have a "tanning" booth that sprays you with orange dye as well as the tanning agent so that the customer can see immediately that there £30 has done some good. This booth then "blows" you after so to speak

Greg - I can well believe that. In the Noble in the wet i take it very gently when the wheels aren't straight but with the MX5 having less power it's easy to think that it won't break traction....

Interesting comments by the Autocar staff about the the fact that they still can't find a comfortable driving position and that the pedal positioning still doesn't allow for decent heel and toeing. Considering that I've never seen those comments in any of their reviews before.

Tuscansix, if you read the original autocar review of the M12 it complains about this. Mentions wanting to shove the pedals a few inches back into the footwell, and adjust the seat.

Accesses acetech's website....indeed it does say that. Should have checked the mag before posting then.

I don't have any problem heel & toeing...
