Apart from clashing with the British Grand Prix, the theme "Soft Tops" could, possibly, produce quite a boring Breakfast Club. Generally, the club theme produces cars that are fairly rare/exotic/fabulous etc, but how many REALLY interesting dropheads are there? I've got one of the new Saab convertibles, but I wouldn't consider trying to stick it on the circuit to show it off, basically because it's just not an interesting car!

I have a feeling that hordes of MX5s and BMWs will turn up, any of which I can see in a Sainsbury car park on a Sunday.

I'll probably drop over for a couple of hours for the general bonhomie that ensues, but if it's wet I'll give it a miss.

Just my opinion!

Well mine will be there for a start

I can think of dozens of interesting drop tops and most won't be modern.....but I think there will be more than enough to see. I think you are misguidedly pessimistic Sir, if I may be so bold smile

Includes anything with a removable roof - so Targas, Convertibles, etc allowed. Plenty of exotic cars will be covered here.

Roof comes out of mine so may be there (if my head is still in gear following a Summer Ball the night before!)

Judging by the last breakfast club it should be fun.

I think you've put your finger on my pessimism (ooh nurse!!) - last meet was just SO good, everything else might be an anticlimax. Here's hoping anyway, fingers crossed!

I don't know, there's so many it could be, that are far from run of the mill. How about all the Bentleys & Royces? The Fiat Dino? The DBs & Vantages? Even Messerschmitts?
Might make a change from yet another line of 911s.

Does it have to have a soft top or will open top do?? Does a 348ts with its hard targa style roof fit into this discription? If not I will take the MX5 turbo!!!

But your car as alays steals the day, are you taking her again?, or are you going to Donny?

I would love to be there - it just depends on the state of my head (and liver) in the morning. Donnington is just a bit too far for the 'day after' smile

Thanks for the info but, didn't you miss 'eat some more bacon' after your second walk round the car park?

Slight correction to the above.. Official opening time is 08.30.. We are not ready for punters until then.

Cheers,

But James, the car park guys are there at 7.30, we can get our bacon butties at 7.30 and a lot of cars are there at 7.30.

Should we wait outside & form an orderly queue confused ?

My Carrera GT should be there as well - that makes one more than the last Breakfast Club.

Can we persuade more CGT owners to come along? smile
