Toffees, winegums, starburst. All addictive but don't require too much concentration to get too. Oh, and fruit pastills.

I love those no sugar mints with sorbitol.

They decrease your transit timewink

Traffic jams bring on a whole new dimension of anxiety yes

Saying that, I've just been given a big bag of Fruit Salads and Black Jacks. Not ideal for the car, but for going back to the childhood, perfect.

Don't do sweets but used to have a bit of a chocolate gateau fetish at the lights or when stuck in traffic.

A cupholder full of a packet of M&Ms is pretty damn unbeatable - and a great way of making one fat smile

Wine gums here as well, but they must be eaten on the trip and not left in the car

I can't eat motorway sweets, I just end up clanging an entire bag of sugary goodness and then jumping up and down in my seat.

Smint type mints, pear drops, cherry drops etc. I'm generally happy with most boiled sweets.
