anyone know what starter motor is in a 1988 Chim

Can anyone help have a friend who needs to know what starter motor is in his 1988 chim. His has packed up and needs a replacement one. If you also know anyone who is sell one please let me know.

Chimaera Pages says Lucas M78R from SD1, LR v8.

Why not take the one you have out as it is a very early model?

as Bigdods said,i got one for a customers Chim £75 and that was brand new non exchange(was not branded Lucas or bosch)looks like a Bosch pattern,but spins over like a top and customer happy

Buy two while you can. Seem to remember mine got through one every 18 months....
