Evening folks.

I'm low on PS fluid. Numpty question but, what should I top it up with? It looks a bit like EP90 gearbox oil I used to use in the days when I changed my own clutches 20 years agowink.

I never normally check the level, but suffered momentary PS loss on startup the other day and thankfully it seems to be due to lack of fluid and not the woodruff(sp) key thingy.

Thanks.

Just had a look at the stuff I have got, and it is Castrol TQ-F automatic transmission fluid and it is red.

Pinched from Steve Heath.....

============

Mobil ATF 220 specification.
Allison C-4
Ford ESP-M2C138-CJ, Ford ESP-M2C166-H
Mercedes Benz Sheet 236.6
ZF TE-ML-09, ZF TE-ML-11, ZF TE-ML-14

Mobil ATF 220 also exceeds the requirements of the former General Motors Dexron IID specification.
Dexron IID has been superceded by Dexron III which is the stuff to use basically.
