Must say I'm enjoying the demo an awful lot. I just wanted to know if the Jap version from here: http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-dw-77-3-49-en-... will work?
If Steve reads this thread whats that blog that tests all the games to see if they work? I thought it was videogamesplus something but not sure on the exact link to the blog.
Cheers
I'd much rather pay 20 quid than the extortionate 40 quid!

Ditto on the BF:MC. It was the first game I bought and the only game I haven't sold/traded-in.
I played a quick couple of games with Polarbear last night and the lag was horrendous. We switched to a player game which made things a lot better but I really hope that gets sorted before the game comes out.
I LOVE the fact you can destroy the environment. Also love the size of the game. Maps are huge plus you can use a chopper, a jeep, a tank and have all sorts of fixed guns.

One of the best things about BF:MC was being able to slap a chunk of C4 on a jeep and drive it at the enemy, bail out 50 yards early and let it roll into them, then detonate it!!I played a quick couple of games with Polarbear last night and the lag was horrendous. Big boom. Many deaths. Often followed by "*** so-and-so has been banned" from the admin...

I'm struggling to get into this game and find myself going back to COD4. The graphics seema bit cheesy and the weapons a bit floaty. I need to spend a bit of time to get into it methinks.
I'm also drifting back to COD4. I loved BF:MC on PS2 and was really looking forward to this but am finding it a little disappointing. After COD4, the weapons seem inaccurate. Maybe I shouldn't be comparing the two and persevere with it. Love the size of the maps though.MK4 Slowride said:
I've never played any of the battlefield games before so am a 'noob'. I do like the way you have use of tanks and jeeps, possibly aircraft?
In BF:MC you had Hinds and Apaches as well. You could get about 5 people in the Hind and 2 in the Apache. Great fun and you could parachute out of them of off the top of buildings!!!!i have just pre-ordered this. I have not noticed any of these lag issues (but have only been playing this weekend) that people have mentioned, so they must have been sorted out.
I think this is not a replacement for COD4 as the game style is quite different but am enjoying the online very much!

If you have played any of the PC versions of any battlefield game, this only adds the destroyable environment and improved graphics. It's also limited in many respects as there are less vehicles, smaller maps, no planes and smaller teams.
It's still a good game, but no the best in the series.

If you want almost all of the above, but want to stay on a console too - buy Frontlines: Fuel of War It's still a good game, but no the best in the series.
