Which Celica?

Hey guys, hows it goin.
Thinking of buying a celica, but can't decide wether or not to go for the 190 bhp, or the 140 bhp. As far as cost goes, there isn't that much of a difference. 1 insurence group, and 3 mpg so nothing thats gonna break the bank. Is it really worth it though. I've read things saying that unless you really tear the ass out of the 190 there isn't much difference between the 2.

190 as the extra poke is noticeable when you use it. Below 6300rpm the 190 drives just like a 140. Beware of lift bolts not being replaced on 190's and oval piston rings. Oil starvation happens predominantly on pre-facelift (circa 2002) 140's and new engine is needed.

Good cars, not particularly thrilling or fast, but a nice neat coupe with a generous boot.

But if you could have any Celica - ST205 / gen6 GT4 is the monster to have.

Personally i would go for a 6th generation instead of a 7th gen one, but that's just because i prefer the looks of the 6th gen's.

The standard 6th gen (ST202) has about 180 HP but if you want real power you can go for a GT-four (st205), no gen 7 cna ever match that.
