Its usually a cable poking out the dash into the left hand tray..

Has you exige got the touring pack? If it hasnt then it probably doesnt have the connection ability.

The sport packed exige's come with an alpine head-unit but no ipod connection.

The cable is in my hand in my house (and the Exige isn't...) Will do some yoga and look around under the dashboard with a torch. Thought the cable would go somewhere behind the display.. silly me

Ah you probably need to take the head unit out and plug the cable into the back then feed the other end (Ipod connection end) through a hole to the right or left of the tray (Where the slight indentations are)

I didnt fit mine, got a car stereo shop to do it for free, so not sure how easy it is. Took them about 20 min though IIRC.

...the Exige in the house..I like that idea..

Cable if you need it is around £15 from Car Audio Direct, you need the KCE-422i.

To fit the cable just take out the heater controls (assuming you have a non airbag car), and take out the headunit. Route the cable from the back of the headunit, then behind the air vents to come out on the shelf bit. Plug in the cable to the Head Unit, refit heater controls, and head unit.

Plug in IPod and enjoy. Should take about 10 mins, including finding the correct sized torx head to take the heater controls out.

Ive just had a Alpine X100 fitted which has a USB cable and then the USB to Ipod adapter pluggged into that....

From what ive read if you have a newer colour ipod or nano then it should just plug straight in, if its an older one then you need the KC 422 (or whatever) adapter cable.

Mines a 5th Gen colour video ipod...so in theory should work without the adapter. It doesnt though, just brings up error 3 on the headunit...

Am I missing something?
