Has anyone tried the pipercross filter cleaning kit?

looking at my filter this morning, its in a bit of need of a good clean. just wondered if anyone had done this and to what result?

For what they cost new ain't worth it approx £18

Ive tried to get one locally, but with no joy, and im not paying £40 from e bay for one

and would like to have it cleaned or renewed before the weekend is over really.

just trying to make sure my trip on friday is as trouble free as it can be.
