Well not literally the first ever picture, but my first use. Felt like having a pop at some splash images! Not nearly as hard as i imagined to get the exact or near enough to the moment where it looks its best. This shot came out of 5 smile

Quality on the 40D is fantastic, this pic of the cranbery juice is rather rushed as i only have a 128 MB card to play around with whilst i wait for my cards from Amazon.

Does anybody have any recommendations for additional items with the 40D. At the moments its 40D, 17-85 IS USM and thats it.

Cheers

Could be worth a look at this for some general guidance. I would imagine Leighton used something similar with red dye in the water...

Depends what you want to go, which direction... if your into this kind of thing... how about strobes and wireless setup?

Oo i mean just in general really, not into splash shots particularly just stuff that i can have fun with.

Oh and Matt, just timing, had a straw dripping cranberry juice and then just dropped it from about a metre and snapped away. Its not difficult at all. smile
