Steering

Have about one inch free play on the steering wheel, befor it starts to move the wheels. Is it possible to adjust the free play somewhere, or is this just the actuating of the servo?

Turn the wheel an inch in mine and you are going back the way you came. Very, very direct.

Sorry, no help with a fix as I am still learning with only a couple of months under my belt.

Just had the same problem with mine, changed both UJ's £40.00 total, easy to fit in half hour and the play has now totally gone.

before you go running off buying parts, do what i did when i first got the car last year and check the UJ's. It's a tad fiddly, but i nipped mine up and it's been spot on since. No point spending unnecessarily until you've checked they're actually worn.
