Just bought a 2003 A4 Avant and I've noticed that when I turn the ignition off I can hear some sort of servo motor that keeps going behind the radio for quite a long time. Just short bursts though, not a continuous noise. I'm planning on having the radio out soon to find out what it is but does anyone else have any ideas on what it might be?

Ok it seems to be coming from one of the servos that's used for the climate control. Still no idea what it's doing. When you turn the climate control on then it moves a red arm, and when you turn it off it moves it back, however when it's doing it's "thing" it's not moving anything, but you can feel the motor start up.

I had one that did this, I ignored it for 2 years and then sold it. Not much help but at least you know you are not alone wink

That's alright then, I think what I'll do is just turn the music up when I'm in the car, and then when I've stopped I'll just "get out" and then I won't notice it! biggrin
