New VXR8

Just had a butchers at the latest Vauxhall price list. They are Quoting the new VXR8 at £35695 otr. Not much of a price hike as the spec is now 6.2l (ls3?) and 436ps. (Auto is £37095 otr.)

Anyone ordered, or had test drive (without salesman) yet?
It's sods law, the previous model can't be twelve months old yet !!

Well if the last fiasco is anything to go by, it will be at least £10k.

If it means a drop in price on the 6.0l then I'd stay with that one if I was looking at buying one soon.. more tuning options/experience IMO. they have bored it out by 30 thou or so.. a bit more capacity; no more torque I'm guessing.

Only if the price is way cheaper. New LS3 has much better heads and intake. Like 20% better. Add 5% more displacement and you have a much better base. Is that worth £10k? No probably not, but £5k... maybe.

I dont think there is a pile of stock this time, mind you I thought dealerships have to have one in stock for demo/sale. Be interesting to find out. Dont forge the new ones are £35k and secondhand down to around £25k already so I dont think there will any drastic moves.
But should be interesting.

I was thinking about replacing my CV8 and Land Rover for one but not sure I could stomach the MPG and the wife scratching it as she's done to the Disco.

Nope - tiler didnt drive it, Wortec were bored and wanted another car!

amount of time tiler spends on his cars I doubt he remembers what grout looks like never mind how to use it and the amount of money he spends on his cars I certainly dont fancy paying him to do the bathroom and the kitchen, must charge more than a lawyer!!!!.
