Whilst having tyres and wheel alignment done today i asked the mechanic to raise the ramp so i could nosey underneath. i noticed on the offside arse end of the exhaust a dent about three inches long on the top end of the pipe. The mechanic said it was probably "meant" to be there. Is this the case or do we have a duff exhaust system?

Yes, if you have the standard exhuast fitted this is normal.
I laughed the first time i saw it. It appears the OEM fitment is a rough fit, then the pipe is stamped on a few times with a heavy boot to get it to clear the diff.

Thankfully the system i've just fitted allows for this clearance by designwink

Thanx for that. I wondered how i had managed to do the damage and was concerned as to how i was gonna tell Col It does look like its been stamped on. Strange

Ah, perhaps that explains the dent in the standard exhaust I had removed from my car. I thought the mechanic had kicked it or something!
