Bit high I'm afraid - I sold my '03 car, 20,000 miles, with hard top, OZ's, Nitrons, upgraded engine (165bhp) for about £1k more than that in January. I'd suggest £10,995?

I'd want to know its service history, when it was last serviced and who by, what upgrades you've done (brake pads, braided hoses, sports exhaust, etc), condition of the paint, what type of tyres, length of MOT/tax ...
basically, a lot more detail, especially on things that could mean a new buyer feels reassured you've looked after the car, and they won't be facing a massive bill in the near future.

You've got next to no details on there TBH, it's like trying to sell a house and just saying, "Got bedrooms, got kitchen, got bathroom etc.". If you want to sell, especially in the current times, then you're going to have to put half an hours time in on writing a decent advert.

im afraid its no better on the other side of the fence guys...

had my ST for sale for a while now and no interest at all! Ad is very detailed (ive actually made it shorter as thought it might be putting people off!) and the car is spot on

Yeah the miles are high for the year but its fully serviced and, i think, the second cheapest ST for sale on here!

reason for mentioning this? as im actually looking to get an elise....

looking at the classifieds though there does seem to be quite a variance in what you can get for your money...

Hi Paul,

If its the car I think it is I did a Walshy day with you and Hollywood (in the omega!!) a year or so ago. I had the Laser blue S2 135 sports Tourer.

Unfortunately I think its down to price aswell as the ad not being detailed enough. I sold mine last year for £12k with similar mileage but was a 51plate with the 135 upgrade sports exhaust brand new tyres fsh etc etc and I didnt have people beating the door down. Now a year on conditions financially are harder for everybody I think you may have to drop the price considerably to get any action, It all depends how badly you want to sell.

Maybe not the answer you wanted to hear but good luck anyway.

ps you will regret selling it every day as I do but needs must.

Price too high. I paid under that for a 2002 car with similar miles about 18 months ago. It had FSH and an inspection which said it needed absolutely nothing doing to it apart from an oil service!

I would say put loads more info into your advert which will give possible buyers more confidence in your car.

I sold my S2 Exige at the end of last summer for the market price for what was a very good car. The PistonHeads Advert has gone but it was basically like this in PH format with a link to this webpage; http://www.jamiejonesphoto.com/Exige/For_Sale.html

The first serious person who had interest snapped the car up.

So what would I suggest?

1) First thing I would do is a decent set of pictures that shows the car off to it's best

2) Add lots of detail about the cars history, servicing, warrenty work, upgrades & who has done this work.

3) Give some figures for the amount spent on the car so that people can see if it is well cared for.

4) What is the Tax & MOT situation.

5) When was the last service and when is the next service if it hasn't just happened.

6) If it is due an MOT get it done.

7) Is the car finance clear?

8) Looking through some of the other adverts on PH's I would say that your car is fairly priced but at the end of the day in this financial climate you have to work a bit harder. I would suggest you try re-advertising it with fresh pictures and the suggestions I have made, Try setting the price for £ 11,995 and expect to get £ 11,000

Hope that helps

Works fine for me on two different Apple Macs, one PC laptop and a mobile phone. There is a few images with a decent quality which might slow things down a little..... Are you running Windows Vista?

sorry to say, but I think it is slightly over priced. A similar car would at a dealer would maybe be up for £13-14k with his 3-4k mark in that. So in light of the current market I would put it on for £10950 and see what come, but be patient.
