Exhaust sticking out.

Not got the blue book on my, and wanted to know if anyone knows how far the Exhaust can stick out the side of the car. I assume you can't have it more the the wheels.

erm a good question.. mine certainly sticks out further than anything else bar the mirror?

one thing you do need to make sure though is it exits after the centerline of the car...i.e. needs to be more than halfway along from the front..

Well it comes out of the same hole as Kevan had, and it's well past the centre line, unless I turn it into a racing limo

I'm not going to have it as far as in the pic, but just wanted to know how much to cut it down.

the side exhaust i made sticks out about 2 inches on the T350R .. needs to be enough to get the hot gases away from the body but not so far as to cause a hazard i would guess. None of the scrutes has ever commented on our exhaust so I'm guessing a couple of inches is ok (fnaar fnaar)

Thats ok then I couldnt remember if Kev's had been modified from when they first put the side exhausts on. When they first fitted the turbos, they had the exhausts exiting just behind the front wheels !!!
