I was there and saw this incident on fri outside chinese, just wondered if any one else had any views on this sort of behavior and the fact the scooter rider after laying his scooter on its side got up chased the idiot up the road and gave him a smack for clotheslining him.
ETA Is this drunken hooligan behaviour to one of our own abroad acceptable?

I heard about that. Disgrace.

Had a few runs past the traditional Mad Friday locations in The General in the afternoon up to about 10 then got word that it was getting a bit silly so didn't go back. I have to say though, Mad Friday seemed a bit lukewarm when compared to the crowds that were around Houx last year.

This happened right in front of me. The guy who knocked him off was taking things too far, not letting locals / innocents go by who didn't want to play, and generally acting a bit of a cock.

It was a bit of an Ice Hockey moment when the scooter rider got up, threw off his gloves and had a go at the formentioned cock. Fair play to him for doing so clap . Everyone there (accept the cocks father) was in full support of the scooter rider.

I was there and matey asked for it, if someone knocked me of my scooter like that I would have battered him too.

By the way for scooter don't read spotty teenager's twist and go. This guy was on a classic Lambretta.

No need for it.

I saw this to, fair play to the scooter rider for having a go! but the lads dad intervened, if it was my son i would have let the scooter rider teach him a lesson!

I saw it too!
Only just got there, seen him speed wobble, then binned it.
Went to pick him up and off he went.
Heard the fight!fight!fight! chants and the tw@t who pushed him off was being restrained by someone.

Really felt for the poor sod, nice paint job on his bretta too!

After that it dampened my day for a while.

Did anyone see a lad come off a mini moped, which then ended up having the moped ontop of him?

Iv'e been told by a source it was a lad at work so if anyone else has some info on it then it would be greatly appreciated smile

i was nearly hit by the scooter when he came off it so i was THAT close.
it was good to see everyone helping the rider, true brit spirit.

if the rider reads this thread there was a washer on the floor under the bike but i didn't have time to tell him when he got going again.

I Think there are a few HYPOCRITES amongst us with regards to the incident above,as most ,if not all were loving the atmosphere, cars, beer and the lad making a fool of himself and entertaining them.
OK he may have got it wrong and he paid for it,but you were all egging him on were you not?

Yeh, he was funny but it was obvious it was going to get out of hand and after that it killed the atmosphere. dont think anybody was egging him on to knock the guy off his scooter though???

Well I guess this could be the same guy that flicked a motorcyclists visor who didn't want to do a burnout. The guy stopped, pointed and got a mouthful from the guy about knocking his f'ing teeth out.

A typical view that afternoon, said fella is the one facing the wrong way with an Elizabeth Duke necklace on. Same guy?

Sounded too similar to be a different bloke. Took the picture after he flicked the visor as he seemed to be stepping over the mark a bit. I was interested how he was going to knock a blokes teeth out who was wearing a full lid though.

As for being hypocrites, I for one was not egging him on. I was joyfully joining in the 'run him over' chants when he just didn't get the idea that not everyone driving down the mulsanne was coming to do a burn out!

So does anyone know who this knobhead is then?

Wouldn't it be nice if for once when someone stopped, and neanderthal man gives him the big I am, driver/rider just comes over and knocks his frickin lights out.

It may not be right, but THAT would get a cheer.
