Talk of a crap car run, which appears to have fizzled out, talk of Virginia Waters, again it appears to have fizzled out.
If anyone fancies the Rolls Royce do at Kelmarsh, there will be space in the car if you want to tag along, or an easy convoy, it's not too far away. M1 south to junction 19, onto the A14 to the 2nd junction, and we're there.
I plan to leave about 9.30am to be there about 10.30am. You don't need to be in posh clothes or anything. It will be a bloody big field at a stately home, thousands of Rolls Royces and Bentleys, marquees, stalls, brass bands, trade stands. Rolls Royce will have a stand, as will Bentley Motors.

hehe yeah! Anyone with an interest in cars couldn't fail to have a good day.
It does sound good and could be an opportunity to practise using my new camera, I take it they don't mind photos?
This is all sounding rather good so crap car run or hanging out with the upper class?!
Just been reading the website, all very interesting especially about RRs move to Belper, I looked about three times to see if it was Belper as we know it lol!

The Clan foundry stuff is fascinating. When we moved to Belper in 1996, I had a 1949 Bentley MKVI, and I had no idea that the car was designed in Belper during the war, with the styling mock ups in clay and timber being done in 1943/44. I was stunned when I found out. I think the site is now Smiths packaging on the A6.Balmoral Green said:

This is it, the photo was taken when the bloke who bought it from me entered it at the classic car auction at H&H Buxton. He had painted it and re-trimmed it, it was much scruffier when I had it.

Good God is that really your old car Waren? Thats not how I remember it looking, i think I prefered the scruffy look!!!

Ayup Marcus, I didn't think you had seen it? Did I come to Northampton in it at sometime in 2001? If so, it would have been grey and green and primer and had no interior, apart from a race harness.
I was watching the video of us in the RR Seraph the other day, memories eh?
Yep you brought it to Northampton and indeed it was all of the colours you state I was watching the video of us in the RR Seraph the other day, memories eh?
we even went for a blast up the A45 a few junctions and back...I prefer the patina the car had then it just seemed right if you know what I mean. Seem to remember there was some fiddling about with the dizzy cap and some superglue??? Funny you should mention that video I was watching it about 2 weeks ago - those were the days ehh? What a fantastic time - I love the bit where the robin reliant pulled out infront of the Red Label and as for the Corniche

If im about on Sunday I will pop over.
