Run Flats on E46 Touring

Just bought a 2000 328 Touring with run flats.
I've not had them before and don't know so much about them, but can they be relaced with conventional tyres or has BM designed the car to use run flats like it or lump it ?
After all there is a spare in the boot anyway

The E46 was not at any point designed to use runflats and their use on cars without a tyre pressure monitoring system is ill advised - I doubt your car has this.

Get rid of them.

Lack of a tyre pressure monitoring system is one thing; if the car is on stock E46 wheels they won't have the extra "steps" to support the bead when the pressure is low. Sounds like the worst of both worlds - the expense of run flat tyres but without the systems in place to ensure the tyre's (and therefore the occupant's) safety.
