Just insured the Griff with Hagerty and dealing with these guys was a real pleasure, very helpful and in Darren's case an ex Griff 4.3 owner. Even better was the quote nearly £60 less than my current insurer, £350 excess, unlimited use, 4000 miles p.a.

Many thanks both

I am with them for the cerb, and whilst they were they cheapest by far, I would return to them just because they are enthusiastic about the cars, and easy to talk to.

Social, Domestic and Pleasure which includes being able to use it to ravel to work, on the ODD occasion!

Unlike a previous insurer who would not allow it, even though I have reserved parking outside my office and we have secure parking inside high security fencing with 24hr security patrols, the answer was still NO.

There are some folk you deal with who have one avowed intent each day to screw up someone else's day but not these guys, very helpful, very relaxed and a good quote

Second that on Hagerty. Just got the Tuscan insured by them. Over £200 cheaper and really nice guys.
Have phoned them a few times and the guys are always really friendly and courteous.

Cheers guys

That sounds a bit open to interpretation to me.

Same reply to me when i asked,if its a nice sunny day and i fancy taking the tvr to work instead of my usual hack, then it would be fine,if on the other hand its a rainy winters day then i wouldnt be covered in the evnt of a claim..... its obviously only meant as a rare occurence use,and thats the way it will be treated,so i doubt there would be a problem, also got an agreed value on the car which is important too,so better dealing with when asking for quotes, know their tvr's and are very very helpfull....... wish my other insurance companys were the same

True, but I think they're reasonably lenient. I enquired if I could take mine into work on 'a couple of sunny days over the summer' (or words to that affect) and they didn't think it would be a problem.

Have to say my experience of Hagerty has been extremely positive. Not only are they the cheapest insurance company I've dealt with (litterally £1000's less than my quotes from some people!) they're also by far the nicest.

Gotto agree - the service is excellent and much cheaper then the car clubs recomeneded insurance company Manning who is very expensive. Trackday cover for the Chim is good too just ring up Hagerty and pay as you go. Lots cheaper and lots b etter. thumbup

I recently signed up as they were friendly and a good price. Sadly though I am still awaiting my docs. Even after 3 reminders from me, nothing. Did anyone else suffer from this?

Quite the opposite, usually had them the next day, even when I spotted a mistake the rectified version was with me in at least two days.

Another vote for Hagerty from me! Rang them up last night for a quote on a '97 4.2 Cerby. I'm 23 and have 3 years NCB (although as a second car they weren't worried about that). On a SD&P policy with 5000 limited miles the quote was £600! Thats the same price I was paying last year for a Mk1 MR2 worth less than £1k! lol

My docs arrived the next day on both occassions. As you say nice to speak to people who know their stuff.

Same here. Just changed address and the correspondance came through the following day.

I was having major problems getting a (sensible) quote for my Aston insured on the same policy as my Tamora. Rang Hagerty, they sorted it out in about 10 seconds and didn't rip me off. Very impressed with them.
