Performance Air Filter for 2.6.

Hi guys,
On a £40.00 whim just ordered a K & N air filter for my 114k 95N 2.6 Coupe. Before I whip it in any, advice about any other settings I need to change? (apart from budgeting for more fuel and possible ear plugs for the neighbours.)
Thanks for everyones advice so far about my car, all very useful. I was supposed to get rid of it when I got a job with a company car but I like it so much I'm trying very hard to find excuses to keep it.
1.) "I only paid £1250 so it can't be worth that much now,"
2.) "It will go once I get a full contract in five months. Don't want to spend a load of time looking for a new car if they don't like me,"
Secretly planning to keep it til the wheels fall off...shh! Don't tell!
