Hi JJ

If you bring your's over and I'll put on my car to see if it works, as you not too far from me, plus there quick to take on/off.

Thanks Leigh -

A very kind offer. The car is in the hands of the mechanic and he will be trying a few options. Will hear from him later. Can't drive car far with zero oil pressure showing and clattery noises anyway!

It seems that whilst the sender may not have been the problem, it has been deemd necessary to replace it since ttaking it off.

I'm hoping I've got one on the way to me at what seems to be a reasonable price.

Cheers!
JJ

The tip re prime the oil pump has worked.

I now have a sensor on the way which may turn out after all to be a spare.

Thanks for your help everyone
