I've just discovered that my nearside windscreen surround has come away. I'm guessing it was the instructor on Monday doing the 'natural thing', gripping the edge of the screen, when lowering himself into or lifting himself out when the roof's off - that's what it looks like anyway.
Is this another application for the all-purpose Griff remedy Silkaflex or should I be looking elsewhere?

I believe Sikaflex 291 is the one to use. It is also used for sticking in the perspex headlight covers. It's not cheap so a trip to your local screen fitter might be worthwhile.

Not all these sealants are as good as others.

There's a thread on here somewhere in which Gerbil explains why.

IIRC it was to do with solvent/ paint interacting. When I find that thread I will post the link.

Sikaflex have a very helpful technical helpline and do a useful (though very technical) catalogue. Phone no. is 01707 394444.
