I've decided some time either this coming winter or next year, I fancy buying a Mini-Marcos (or Minijem or Kingfisher Sprint). However, despite being relatively popular for a kit car, they seem rather difficult to find. Anyone know where there are a regular supply for sale?

Also, has anyone on here owned a Marcos/Jem/Sprint? What are the foibles I should look out for?

Cheers

Well theres the owners club for a start.

Other than that it's a mini under there. Avoid drum brakes all round from a 1960's mini or you'll crash into a LDV van and need to patch the bodywork.

Oh and a forum.

There was one for sale near my mates place in cheshire last week, I'll ask him if it's still on.

Oh and the scuttle bit i think ( atop the front subframe inside the glass fibre) rots.

Its so annoying I almost bought the Trans-XL Mini Marcos, it was on the market, it was so well maintained.

I had a Marcos 1600GT for about 9 years, sold it to a guy from France who is planning on racing it in FIA historic races.

How about one of these as a possible alternative?
