Was it a factory or independent rebuild?

Mines is stamped in the log book, if not try and call the company that did it!

If it was Factory, i'm not sure how to find out, sorry!

Hi there,
I believe that originally there was paperwork to back up what engines had been rebuilt and to what extent - documenting what was used etc.
HOWEVER....this paperwork has now all been lostbanghead

The reason I know this, is that my engine was rebuilt at the factory, and needs done again!!!!

Regards,

Fin

No you're not and that's out of order. TVR filing was basic paper based but worked. It's the Russian influence...

Fin - do you have any idea as to when your engine was rebuilt precisely? Mine was done at the factory in Aug 05, close to the end of the company.

Hi

according to my history/handbook the engine was rebuilt 5/07/05.Well that's the date in my handbook.
Really missing the car just now as the engine is currently with Jason Clegg awaiting the diagnosis !!!!It's been using litre of oil per 200 mlies!!!rolleyes

Hmm - some 4 weeks before my rebuild then. I have put some 21k on it since then - and yours?

I got the car last year with the knowledge that the engine needed to be run in!!!!It has only done 2000 miles since its' rebuild, as the car lay for some time at TVR (it's a long story!).
The guys at X-works (who have been great) think it was re-built with some dodgy parts.
