Police Van on A3 south
Discussion
What is it?
It has a well marked rear and twin cameras which protrude through flaps above the doors.
It often attends the 'cruise' near Ladymead retail park on a sunday night.
I reckon it's either ANPR or a combination ANPR/Speed van.
I've looked at some of the speed sites on the net and found only contradictions.
Anyone got a straight answer?
(If I remember I'll go down to the cruise one Sunday and ask them)

Probably ANPR because there was one like you described in Cardiff when Tony Bliar and his crew came to town for a Euro summit (anti-terrorist so they said) a couple of squad cars were parked 50m down the road to stop any dodgy cars/people. That's how quick the system works, apparently!
