Hi there,

Just wondering if anyone living in Notts or the outskirt knows of a few nice walks in these parts. Sometimes we want to go out for a stroll, say 2-3 miles, but fancy a change of scenery from our usual patch. We did a nice stroll around Colston Bassett on Sunday and could do with the exercise on a regular basis!

Any ideas appreciated.

Thats a good idea, walking and talking cars? I'm not from Notts but i'll keep an eye on this to see if it gains any interest.

Not Notts, but not too far away....

Bradgate Park just north of Leicester (M1 J22)

Easy walk straight through the park (on tarmac) also plenty of rambling available in the park grounds.

Quite often go there at a weekend to give the kids a breath of fresh air and adventure (and much needed exercise for me!)

Hi TPD, There are some good walks near me. One is half an hour appx and circular around a gravel pit. Second walk is almost an hour around gravel pits and the bank of the Trent. I'll email you the details if you like. Both take in some wild life. M
