Numpty mate insists on rubbish - help me win a bet

My mate INSISTS strongly that he saw a 2 plus 2 Boxster.
Not 944, 996 etc. - he says a BOXSTER, and there were four people seated inside it.
I'm saying it's utter bollox and a production Boxster of any variety only has 2 seats.
Can someone clarify this for me please? A dinner is on the cards.

It is indeed utter, utter bollocks.
The car your mate saw was a 996 Carrerra 2/4 Cabrio (pre-facelift) - its front lights and bonnet and windscreen are (visually at least) identical to the Boxster.
I think the 02 model year saw the introduction of "facelift" lights which are different to the Boxster.
