Picked the car up from Edt yesterday afternoon, for the 185 mile drive home. As with any new car and especially a 500 there is the apprehension, mixed with the excitement and the practicalities of trying to listen to the sat-nav above the sound of that exhaust!
What a sound it is, it's spine tingling, I mentioned to Ed it's like listening to a NASCAR start grid, absolutely awesome and the acceleration is like warp speed factor compared to the S but, I felt completely at home with it, it is a 'comfortable' car to drive.

Many thanks to Ed, a super guy and for parting with 'Grumpy'

Wow!

Rigga, I now know how you felt!!!! brilliant.

Ray,

The first drive in mine home was a compleate assualt on the sences.......

everything was heightened by the noise, feel and ride of the car,the the heat in the cabin was the biggest shock....so far removed from the impreza it was a great experience.......glad you have now got it,enjoy......

Oh boy, have you got a treat coming.

When you get the opportunity to go through a long tunnel with the roof off, slow down to give you space from any other traffic and drop into 3rd, then gun it. Its like being launched in a Jedi Starfighter !!!!

I managed to find a couple of short tunnels on the way home and that was good fun, unfortunately around Lincoln we ain't blessed with many tunnels, short or long frown

But we do have some fairly narrow streets which echo ..echo ...echobiggrin

It's not a proper TVR drive home, unless there are monsoon conditions - as happened with both of mine!!

Podie, I had gauged that the downpours forecast would be moving North ahead of me as I drove home !!!
Thundering up the A34 at + pace ran into an absolute downpour and the wipers stopped working!!! Having read all these tales of Griff, Cerby and Tuscan drivers parking in the barriers in such conditions I felt a little bit apprehensive (is adrenalin brown coloured?) let it slow down a bit, the wipers strated working and whoosh we were back out in bright sunshine and a dry road.
Note to self: Do not beleive the BBC weathermen!!! biggrin

I have the same share issue with Mrs YB except for the Tivs although last night she was hinting at having the S for herself after it's refurb!!!

The Griff is Rosso Pearl metallic, a stunning colour and with Doeskin interior it looks superb.

Shareing cars is a funny game,i use the wifes mareva for mundane trips...... she never drives my subaru, well the once and she didnt like it...... she had images of going out in the Griff with her mate and the roof down, soon dispelled that as with the seat as far forward as possible, she cannot reach the pedals properly..... aahhh shame that (this is with cerbera seats fitted though)
