Quick NIP question

Think I may have been caught by a camera van on a bridge over the M2 last Friday.
I have read a few posts that say you must recieve your NIP within 14 or 15 days.
My question is, what do you do if you recieve the NIP after this period?

Sorry if this has been answered before, I have done a search, but couldn't find a result!

I believe the NIP must be dated & posted within 14 days - you will not necessarily be in receipt of the document.
