Final Esprit s (US)

I got to inspect the changes made to the final run of Esprits today, very nice imo.

Shorter Shifter with Lotus Logo
Updated Seats (different pattern in center and "breather" sections)
Updated Door Panels (matches the seats)
Tire temp and pressure gauge on center dash
Aluminum controls for Heat/AC etc.
Front Grills and Tow Hook are Aluminum in color
Engine has a plate signed by the person who built it

and finally,

Bilstein/H&R Coil-overs (adjustable)!! < - Yahoo!

Rumor is that the final run of cars will also have a dash plate showing who the car was built for.

Hopefully they can all be retrofitted, especially the new shorter shifter

do you know what number the final run starts at???? Is it all 2003's or just the last batch???

I just saw one of two new 2003 models that PBMC got in.... they are the just the normal setup.

They are calling them 03.5's. I did not note the VIN of the starting one...

I understand that they are building a few more 03.5s and then about 39 04s will be built...

Roy - are these usa only? Ie are these parts fitted in the usa by LCU or are the cars like that from the factory?

The cars come that way from the factory. They had just rolled in when I looked at them.

There was an 03 car delivered recently with the Sport 350 wing. I am told that there are no Sport 350 wings left to be had... Clyde is looking for some more...

ps. I don't know for sure but I don't think any non-USA Esprits are being built. It is my understanding that all of the remaining cars will be US cars...

i am most certainly interested in aquiring one of the last 04's. I have number 71 u.s. of the last 4 cyl. 95 s4s. A new 04 would be a pefect stablemate. please let us know the exact last 3 digits of the "final" vin start at...
