That Iron Man cover is f!!cking awesome clap

I can't find any video footage, but Jeff Beck & Seal did a cover of Hendrix's "Manic Depression" about 15 years ago and it is breathtaking. It's part of a Hendrix tribute compilation where The Cure do "Purple Haze" (unusually good), Buddy Guy does "Red House", and The Spin Doctors do "Spanish Castle Magic".

Very good album.

A vote here for Metallica's Garage inc album, which is pretty much loaded to the hilt with great cover versions of great songs.

Korn's version of Word up is pretty handy too. As is Limp Bizkit's (sp) take on Goerge Michael's "Faith"

Faith No More's cover of the Commodore's 'Easy'

Megadeth's cover of Black Sabbath's 'Paranoid'

Paradise Lost cover of Everything But the Girl's 'Missing'

Oh and I agree with Mulletmark on Metallica's Garage Inc, definately their best material at the time, a bit sad really.... the best they could manage was a whole bunch of covers!

yesVery good, but I also like the original equally.

Strangely (since I'm not a fan of theirs) I also like Fall Out Boy's cover of Beat It
