Hi, done 180 mile trip today, had a really nice night meeting the Cambs group. Got home, in a hurry to go to the loo. Door wouldn't open. Used the mechanical release, no problem.

Went back to the car, doors and boot won't open. I have undone the bonnet so I can get to that.

Is it the sort of thing where it may work if I try again in the morning? Any ideas?

Thanks in anticipation smile

Sounds like your door/boot control box has cried enough, to get in you need to do the top secret method that everyone knows. After that, try unplugging your control box. It is located in the boot on top of the petrol tank, then replug it in after a while in the vague hope it fixes itself, try fuses too.

Hi Brummie, thanks for that. I get no sound from the doors or boot switches so it does sound like a failure. Could you PM me the secret way in please, I think I know it but I'm not sure.

With my degree of subtlty it could be messy rofl

I just had to replace my door window control box, managed to get a recon one from clever trevor, nobody else had one including the breakers yards. Cost me £130, but CT said he has heard of them being sold for up to £500. They are as rare as rocking horse sh@t at the moment.

Well, how easy was that smilesmile and smile

Thanks to Central for telling me how, once in, removed my stuff from the boot (including all my credit card and stuff which I didn't want to post earlier), opened the door and removed the necessary stuff from there.

Left the boot open, closed the door and the window went up fully (last night it was down by 2 inches). Tried each door and they worked, the boot works, everything works. No idea how, but it does. I guess something reset itself.

Now to find some beer. Wife thinks I've gone mad 'cos of my grin smile

Many thanks to all!

I don't tend to go for repeat prob;ems, I like new challenges rofl

Well, this week I've found out how to use Evostick (not on the cars), screw drivers and a gas barbecue - I'm getting better (very slowly).
