Bought Bloodsugarsexmagic and One Hot Minute when they were first released. Played them to death and couldn't really get back into them with Kalifornication, but have recently been playing By the Way...

Love the originality of the earlier stuff.

yeah me too, Fight Like A Brave is the best track from back then when they had that mentality IMO!

the new material is a bit too mainstream for my tastes now, but a copy of What Hits?! would be a sound investment for early RHCP material definetely IMO

I think last album they do was very very good, because of the amazing guitar work through the whole album.John Frusciante has been amazing on last album after then most people see how great guitar player he is at last.

Their set at woodstock 94 is worth getting hold of if you can sniff it out.

The Zephyr Song is still my favourite Chili Peppers song to this day.

The last gig of theirs I went to was pretty disappointing, they have never really had the same appeal after that..

I'm halfway through Anthony Kiedis's autobiography, well worth a read.

Ditto. All became a bit "rock lite" after that..

Some good tracks on One Hot Minute though.

I agree they seem to have gone a bit "middle of the road" since then.

I remember discovering them with Mother's Milk and when BSSM was released it was a magical time.

Same here. Loved those albums but found they were not as much fun in the late 90's and 00's. Shame as BSSM is still a favourite. I did think the last album they made was a slight return to form.
