Ok guys, the other thread is drifting a bit, so can we have your suggestions for the new name here please.

n.b - just the name, no arguments or justifications.

You may register a 'don't change' vote if you wish.

I'll go first by repeating my suggestion;

'Roadcraft & Legal'

Right, over to you...

I vote no change,
IMHO if it is not broke, don't try and fix it.

I don't think it needs a new name either. After all - the title covers subjects all the way from Roadcraft to Laser Jammers. Unless the Forum was going to be broken up into "Roadcraft", "Speed and Detection", "Legal" etc I really don't see the need to change the name.

None of our resident BiBs seem offended by the term "Plod" either so what's the problem?

There haven't been any suggestions that have grabbed me. Unless there are, I'm content with the status quo.

My vote: leave it as it is.

I don't think it's practical to split the forum up as speeding, the BiB, roadcraft and the law are all interlinked anyway, so splitting them would probably just result in people putting the same post in more than one forum or more work for Ted moving threads into the right forum.

...and if any of the BiB's are offended by the term plod (which I think does have a slightly derogatory ring to it) then how about "Speeding, BiB and the Law"?

Ted, what are desiging/envisage this forum talking about?

I'm guessing its:

Speeding offenses, locations of TaliVans...
Scanners and Jammers
Insurance issues (legal)
Driving safely (i.e. advanced driving skills)?
Issues such as MOT's...

To me that suggests Speeding, Plod & The Law is fine! but you could always add Driving, Speeding, Plod and the Law or remove the Speeding to be Driving, Plod and Law.

None of the suggestions I've seen are better than the current one (IMHO)

Would have no objection to changing the word Plod to Cops or Police etc if the Bib would rather?

I agree with pies, if there were to be a change it should be a removal of speeding because...

Ahem.

We don't want to pass on to non members the image that those on the forum and members of the site that we in any way shape or form condone speeding.

The fact that most of us do it means....I'll shut up now.
