Okay, so on holiday it looks like I have gotten a couple of specs of dust on the sensor of my NIkon D40x - so can anyone reccomend someone to take the camera to to get it cleaned?

I'm looking around the Swindon/Bristol area.

you could do it yourself,go into menu and activate mirror lock up,remove lens and you will see the sensor/lens,has a green tinge to it,give it a good blow out with a lens blower,DO NOT TOUCH THE LENS OR CLEAN WITH A CLOTH,i have had to blow out mine out a few times.

I have one of these kits for cleaning the sensor http://www.flaghead.co.uk/pages/greenclean-products.html , I've never used the wipes as the vacuum lifts any dust off. Personally I wouldn't recommend using a blower inside the body of the camera, this will just shift all of the dust indiscriminately & you may end up with a dirtier sensor than you started with.
