Stainless Pipe Required

Anyone know where I can buy some stainless steel pipe to sleeve my exhaust cans?

I need about 1 mtr tops, 51mm OD pipe, and about 1.0mm to 1.5 thick. It has to be Stainless by the way.

I could do with some as well to make my back box a twin exit. Once bought, who could I get to bend the ends through 90 degrees?

If you want them mandrel bent an engineering shop, or you could talk very nicely to me as I have a scrap exhaust box with an exit pipe in good condition that could be grafted on.

Would it be a bit of Stainlesss pipe then Oli? If so, let's sort something out.

If tight 90 bends are required you can get weld on elbows!!
Ps of you get food grade stainless its usually cleaner which means less initial polishing

Sh10 (shed 10) pipework is aprox 2mm thick wall. You may be better with Sh5.

I think the honest answer is I don't know, the box is mild steel, but Porsche tailpipes are normally stainless, given the completely f*****d state of the rest of the box the tailpipe is like new so I would say probably is stainless but is isn't shiny like they usually are, the box is off a 3.2 I sold that Stainless twin exit box a while ago shame as that would have been perfect for you.

No probs Oli. In all honesty, I would like to replace the existing tailpaipe as well so both are matched and using some 90 deg. pieces sounds like the solution. I think the existing pipe is about 69mm O/A diameter so with a larger pipe the existing one can be cut and sleeved where it joins the box. New one to the other side to suit and sorted!

So, can you get hold of some S/S pipe, say 72mm + dia and some bend pieces?

Ooh, ouch, that hurts.............how'd you know I read it?

The only way I could do it is by cutting and shutting, Ok for turbo pipes but not neat enough for an exhaust that is visible, you need an engineering company to make you some, the trouble is it isn't just a 90 degree bend it is quite a complex shape.
