Have you had the geo 'done', or 'done right'? I wouldn't trust any of the mainstream places to know what they're doing, you need somebody familiar with TVR handling. Have you got any play in the suspension bushes, rack or steering joints?

Could it be something simple like tyres?

Is that pic on your profile correct ? Looks like the car is sitting very level, but it should be nose down. I know pics can be deceiving but it looks like you have a lot of clearance between the front tyre and the front arch which looks wrong. Also are they 17 inch wheels all round ? and what profile are the front vs the rear.

Has it always been like that... again from your pic, you appear to have aftermarket wheels with very low profile tyres... could be them?

Bump steer is caused by a geometry problem. When the wheel rises the movement of the upright is defined by the upper and lower
wish arms. Any change in the angle of steering is defined by the track rod. If the track rod is not properly aligned to the
wish arms then there can be a steering effect.

Your geometry needs checking.

Thanks for your replys... im leaning towards the tyres option as i also get understeer and skipping due to losing grip the tyres on the front are an old cheap pair of very low profile "road hog ditch finders" which came with the wheels paperbag
The geo was done by an inderpendent but im a little stuck with that for the moment as i live in the middle of the land that time forgot.
I`ll take a look at the bushes as some are the original and the link arms are definatly a little tired.

bsdnass is quite right, 'bump steer' has nowt to do with tyres or wheels. I used to do factory set ups on Reynard FF1600's (built loads) and bump steer is dialled out by correctly aligning the steering rack and track rod end attachment points on the uprights. So yes, true bump steer is a geometry problem. (and bloody scary)
