Some scrote has tried to prise off my boot release switch / Tuscan badge. Damaged paintwork, mangled badge, owner on warpath.

I've had a look on www.tvrgear.com to try and work out what parts I need to order but it's not obvious. Does anyone know if I can just order a new badge or if I'm looking for some obscurely named switch too?

The badge is removed via the boot. Pull out the two black circular wadgamacallits - they can be carefully prised off. You can get your arms into these holes and you will feel there are two nuts to be undone that hold the badge in place. Fiddly job, but possible with some small spanners (can't remember exact size but 8 or 9mm comes to mind. Once you get the badge off, behind it is the tiny microswitch. Hopefully this will be undamaged. The success of tripping the switch when pressing the badge seems to be how far done up (or not) the two nuts are on the badge reverse on the threaded prongs. In all liklihood it is cosmetic damage. Maybe talk to Leven Technology about getting a new one (available in most colours but green!).

Pain in the @rse when this kind of thing happens. There should be public floggign brought in for scrotes like this - you have my sympathies.

Thanks, the boot release switch is still working so I'll just order a new badge.
