Today i did a track day at Rockingham. a Problem i found on the very first corner (sharp left hander) the Steering wheel generated a Sharp Vibration! and i could hear a Grinding type noise. But only on the sharp left handers. The long sweeping corners were fine and no problems with sharp right hand bends..

Does it sound like just a minor ball joint failure or something a little more serious. If it does turn out to be the ball joints should i buy a whole new front set??

Thanks in advance

Craig.

This a pure guess.
Have a look at the tyre in the front right - are you sure that excess roll/low suspension/wide tyres etc was causing the tyre to contact the wheel arch?

Ball joints don't make grinding noises, they tend to rattle over rough ground when worn and cause the car to wander.
