well, looks like the 348 is off, money has been exchanged and the chap is picking it up tomorrow.

Its fair to say I'll be pretty gutted to see it go.

That said, having missed out on a peach of a 3200 at Maranello today, I've found another one which is a year newer(but Y instead of W reg) with the newer model wheels, much less mileage at a cheaper price! I'm also getting a full main dealer warranty, new tyres, a new service inc cambelts and six months roadtax, wayhay! Should be able to pick it in about a week or 10 days.

Sounds like the plan is coming together!

Assume the Maser' will be at Brunters... btw, are you getting sufficient interest for 12th Oct? (didn't seem to be many PH'ers on the calender when I looked earlier)

ok, its a 2001 car, silver with bordeaux(red!) leather, 20 odd k miles, 1 owner from new, electronic sports suspension, mem seats, most other options I think,

now.....yes its an auto(I know I'm going to get loads of Sh1t from you guys but it suits me best at the moment - town driving, gf can use it etc etc).

It also has the later wheels. To be honest havent seen it yet but its being checked over by a main dealer. Quite excited now.

Yes it will be at brunters, we're par for the course on numbers at the moment, should all be ok. Will keep you all informed.

Nice one Craig That's a really classy colour combo and it certainly sounds like you're getting a better deal than the one you originally lined up. I can visualise it (and salivate) now, but please post some pics. When you get your paws on it that is!

Can't wait to see the car at Brunters, Craig.

Be sure to hoist a photo or five on your profile as soon as...

Great car, unique sound on take off and the niftiest rear light cluster since the Artful Dodger lifted six ornate timepieces in one flowing duck 'n dive shimmy of consumate pick-pocketing brilliance during the reign of our nation's most glorious monarch.

Hurrah!

A round of polite applause and several ex-grouse en route, Squire.

Well done Craig! When I sold my 348 I bought a golf - I think a 3200 is a better choice!

Currently finally back in the market looking for a replacement myself but am thinking of a Boxster S which is kind of worrying! I'll get mi hairbrush now then!

Good Luck

Sounds great Craig. I could do with memory seats to as mine often forget to go back!

I was trying to decide whether to use the Bruntingthorpe money for a trip to Germany instead but now think a comparison might be in order. And as you've bought an Auto I won't be the slowest (you didn't think you were going to get away with it did you?).

I hope you really love the car.

thanks guys, yep, the 348 went on saturday, I had one final drive when I went to put some petrol in it for the new owner & do a couple of other minor bits, was quite sad to say the least but then went to look at some more 3200's which cured that!

Alex, back to back sounds good, I did realise I wouldnt get away with the auto thing Maybe some electronic chippery will be in order, can you get it done on 3200's ?

I've obviously been too subtle in my recent posts! Yes, you can and it's very good.

I was thinking of my warranty and insurance which strictly prohibits this sort of thing.

However, whilst in Italy I visited www.digitaltuning.ch/english/index.html (they have a branch near Verona) and they demonstrated their Maserati 3200 mod

Well, it's a very good mod - cold idling is a bit erratic but that only lasts a minute or two, boost occurs 500 rpms earlier and much stronger. I only wish I was allowed to have it!
