Hi,
This sort of suddenly started to happen (and hasn`t got any worse in the last few weeks) but its hard to get the car into 1st or reverse from neutral (if the cars moving at all, it goes into 1st without much hassle)
When moving along there is no problems with any gears, atleast nothing that I notice and the clutch appears to be ok (15k on it at the minute)
What do you think it could be? Need to see how much of a dent in the "saftey net" funds this will make
Thanks,
James

Sounds like the fingers on the clutch pressure plate have lost their tension. It is quite common apparently and mine went on the Sag at around 14,000 miles. Makes it hard to get first and reverse as the clutch drags and doesn't clear properly.
Speak to your TVR garage and make sure you get the right replacement clutch as when i had mine done back in January because they couldn't get the TVR ones anymore they were using pattern parts. They had tried a few different replacement clutches on different cars until they found one which was up to scratch. Sorry i don't know which one's they ended up using but i am sure Dream Machines can tell you.

Have a look on this one

same applies for sag,
but before you think it is the clutch fingers,
remove the rubber pedal stop and see it improves, then i'll give you the next step

Thanks again Graham for the advice. One totally idiot question but what is the "rubber pedal stop" as I`ll go out and have a play in the footwell tonight - is it simply that "a rubber stop that limits the clutch pedal travel?"
A little cost question - how much did all the bits to fix your clutch cost Graham? (i.e. race approved clutch cost and Raceproved lightweight aluminium slave cost..)
Thanks,
J.
