Well, its been a couple of years since being behind the wheel of a TVR and after Le Mans this year, I just cant stay away any longer!!

Ive had three TVRs to date, a 4.0 Chim, a 5.0 chim and a 4.5 Cerbera and am now looking for a chim 5.0 (maybe 4.5) or possibly a Griff, ideally with the following:

1999 onwards, one of the last edition cars with Tuscan seats and closed in lights would be perfect.
approx 20k or lower miles
Nitrons would be excellent

Not so taken on starmist red or blue, but would consider most other colours. Love purple and yellow!!

Would need to be very very clean and tidy!

So, does anyone have, or know of any cars that fit with my wish list?

Looking forward to re joining the fold smile

All the best,

Matt.

Hi Matt,

As the previous poster remarked - those are tight criteria but just for your info, I've a mint 1999 Chimaera 500 I'm about to put up for sale (or trade in).

Details are:

1999 'S' - not faired headlights.
Daytona Violet (Purple)
Full Fawn hide interior
FTVRSH (Last service and MOT at Fernhurst done last Friday, with no work apart from routine maintenance required)
All bills and MOTs to hand
I'm only the 3rd owner.
32,800 miles
Power Steering
Brushed stainless steel dash
Leven ali pack
CD and rear speakers
Fernhurst sports exhaust
Fernhurst supplied
Taxed until end October
No stone chips with bonnet respray completed by Fernhurst last year

If of interest to you, happy to answer any questions you might have.

Best regards,

Nick.

Hi Matt,

Will do - but I have to wait until tomorrow pm - as I'm a new member to PH and the rules say that I have to wait 24 hrs until I can email members.

I'll send the pics tomorrow evening - hope that's ok.

Best regards,

Nick.

Hi Matt.
Id love to help out but Im not flogging your old 500 back to you Im afraid! Its still too good. Its up to 32K now, runs perfectly and has just returned from its 3rd Le Mans trip.
Heres a picture if you are feeling nostalgic!

Seriously, hope you find a nice one soon.

Thats fantastic!!! Great to hear that shes still going strong and looking fine in The LM graphics smile

Thinking back, I really should have kept that one as it was perfect! but no, I had it in my head that I needed an evo. Had it for 6 months by the way, never really did it for me.

Really chuffed to see the car!!! may it continue to bring you much happiness smile

Matt.

Hi Matt,

Seems my reply yesterday has been deleted, have you seen my car in the classifieds?

It meets half your spec, but is also a fair bit cheaper than your 'perfect' car i suspect.

Its a yellow 450, with tuscan seats, late chassis and is in very good condition
But it has 60k miles (but a new cam), not faired in lights, and is a 1997. It has a few stone chips too.

Thanks

Matt

Cheers Timmy thumbup.
It is indeed Imperial Blue with Magnolia and Blue interior and looks pretty good IMHO. Havent taken the stickers off yet either so am getting some funny looks.

It does seem like a great time to be buying at the moment with loads available and prices looking very reasonable.

That grey 2002 Ebay car looks lovely.

Hi Matt

Just put mine up for sale. It may not meet your exact spec, but it is in mint condition. It's the 450 X reg 30,500 miles in the classified section.

Regards

Matt
