Le Mans + Nurburgring trip 2

After having the quaife diff fitted and a service/re-spray i hit the road to LeMans, covered around 1800 miles there and then upto the Ring, hit just over 170mph on Autobahn and put a 911 driver in his place , 15 laps of the Ring and then home.

Id have to say the car feels very much more planted now and also with a geo set-up i was able to get far more from the beastie at the ring, managing a comfortable 8.49 lap with a slight delay for some 'road works' ongoing on track which im pleased with, next year i'll head back with some R888's or similar and slightly stiffer rear springs as i found the rear a bit slow and wallowing on the long curves. I took a few people out for laps and all commented on how well the car handled and surprise at the pace through the faster corners.

My only fault with the car being after the blast in 30c heat down to LeMan meant after leaving the motorway when i was 3 miles from the campsite, the water temp went up and emptied on the road, turned out 2 jubillee clips were knackered, replaced and off i went.

Think next year i'll sacrifice LeMan and spend more time at the Ring.

Why not include Zolder in the same trip? You missed a great event and the opportunity to compare the performance of your impressively modded T350 against 100 + other TVRs.

Not a bad idea at all, in fact i don't know why i hadn't thought of this before, holiday for june 09 sorted then...

nice trip ! may I ask what springs you are running at present?

Just the springs which come with the nitrons, have been recommended to try a 50lb heavier weight of spring which shouldn't affect ride quality too much but give a bit more feel and stability in the corners.
