Last year I did the FB5K Alpine Tour and it was awsome fun.

Anyway, FB5K is no more so I am planning my own alpine adventure instead! It is likely to be sometime in September and there will be a small group of us going (about 10-15 people in total). The route takes in Dientner Sattel, Großglockner and Staller Sattel passes, Jaufenpass and Timmelsjoch (AKA the Rhombo), Stelvio pass, Umbrailpass, Fluelapass, Grimselpass, St Gotthard (Old and New), Sustenpass, Furkapass, St Gotthard (Old and New), Grimselpass (optional) and the Grand St Bernard Pass. If it is anything like last year it will be awsome fun...

Here are some videos from the now defunct FB5K crew: http://www.youtube.com/user/TheFB5K

If you are interested then please PM me and I will send you some more details.

that trip will be 2x the price it was last year with the pound vs euro rate and fuel price increases. Would love to do something like that but financially its just not sensible for us at the moment.

I'm taking the Ro to Turin in 3 weeks, taking in a few of your list on the way. I hope the brakes are upto a Stelvio descent!

lol Jeff by October half those routes are probably only marked out with snow poles, I thought September might be pushing it a bit.
