Hi,my local ford garage has offered me a genuine ford cv joint for a excellent price,it has been sitting around for ages.
The ford part no is tdl-3017r.
He knows it is for a granada but cannot confirm if it will be okay for the chim,'ve tried to cross reference but cannot come up with much.
Anyone got any thoughts on this one?
Cheers

That isn't a Ford genuine part, Ford genuine parts have Finis codes.

IIRC that is an AMK part number which are recon units, not new.

John,
DL3017 is/was a driveline/drivelink part number.
Quite a few CV Joint manufacuters/Recoditioners adopted there part number system (3017) then added there own prefix/suffix.
Ribol is correct, if it has an "R" on the end of the the part number this identifies it as a re-con/remanufactured, without the "R" would be a new part.

The Ford part No is 72GG4635BA (or 1493963)
They are Inner and Outter CV Joints for just about every Ford Consol 1972-1975 and Ford Granada 1972-1994.
Hope this helps

Steve
