I’m curious if anyone has previously had a problem with a repaired puncture ?

Though had many repaired in the pass, but not on quite the same type of car !!

S1 49

Yokohama A539 rear tyre, less than 50 miles old (lol) 12mm bolt removed from centre of tyre repaired by a Nationwide company.

Many thanks in advance.

I had a puncture mended on mine about a month ago.
Nail straight through the centre of the tyre.

I too was worried... however I took mine to a very reputable local type place who supply the local racing fraternity.

Touch wood mine has been absolutely fine.

Series 1 111s with Yoko Advans all round in case you were wondering.
It was rear drivers side that suffered the puncture.

Ok if it was a small screw but 12mm bolt! can't see how you could even repair that.

as long as it's not near the side wall then i'd go with it.

...12mm bolt removed from centre of tyre...
According to etyres here:

http://www.etyres.co.uk/glossary-tyre-terms?term=tyre-repairs

BS AU 159f gives a maximum 'injury' size for repairs at 6mm.

Whilst this is clearly smaller than 12mm, the actual hole remaining in the tyre after the bolt had been removed may have been within the limit. Still rather concerning about and consequent damage to the plies.
