Thinking i'll get about 24mpg? (when driven conservatively of course!).
Really thinking about getting one shortly, after trying one a month or so back - loved it!
Driving a 1.8 celica at the moment(gen 6) and reckon im only getting 30mpg, which would be fine - if it had more power but it doesn't! im sure the supra will though..

You'd probably get similar / better MPG in the 2 litre Gen6 celica, purely because you're not ragging the nuts off it to get anywhere! Isn't the 1.8 like 115 or something dismal, considering the size of it?
N/A MK4 supra will cost more to buy / run than a 2 litre GT gen 6 celica, and probs wont be any faster tbh!

Yeah, i find myself having to boot the hell out of 2nd and 3rd gear a lot to get anywhere! I would have thought the N/A supra to be a bit quicker the 2.0 celica though?

I've only just recently sold my 1998 6th gen Celica GT 2.0 and used to get around 28 MPG.

Got a GTO Twin Turbo now and am only getting around 15 MPG, but i do get everywhere a lot quicker then in the Celica biggrin

Not sure if the celica is slower then a N/A supra, though i is lighter as the Celica weighs only 1155 kg and the N/A supra is 1460 kg.

Celica does 0 - 60 in 7.8 seconds.
Supra N/a does 0 - 60 in 6.2 seconds.

Okay so the Supra might be a bit faster, but i wouldn't use the word "destroy"...

Nearly 2 seconds quicker to 60, with more torque everywhere as well. Sounds like a big difference to me. Besides, the Supra drives at the right end as well... tongue out

I can squeeze over 30mpg out of my 1JZ cruising down the motorway at sensible speeds biggrin Pretty sure a 2JZ n/a could do just as well.

Anyway Supra is mans wheel drive, none of that girly fwd stuff, get yer chestwig out!!

Well my 1.8 celica doesn't do 0-60 in 7.8 seconds - could probably add another second onto it, it certainly feels like that!
Hopefully looking at a getting a mk4 n/a supra the next month or so, can anyone tell me what to watch out for when buying one? I've heard that they are pretty bullet proof - i should say the main reason im thinking n/a and not the twin turbo as there is probably less stuff to go wrong and would be slightly cheaper to buy/run.
Cheers.

They are just about unbreakable, just check the water works are nice & clean & its not coked up on the inside from lack of regular oil changes. If they are nice & clean on the inside they don't give any bother at all.
