GTA3 is surely better?

I've compleated GT2 and very nearly GT3, much to the distress of my girlfriend. It's totally addictive and the fun really starts when you get the formula one cars. To anyone out there that does't know about this game it's great - based on real race cars and circuits.

Too sad there's only a poor Griffith and a Speed 12 in GT3...There's the whole range in GT2 though!

Bummer!! You woz robbed!

I won all the Tuscan races & got a nice orange Speed 12, which incidentally seems v.hard to get a good set-up on most circuits (anyone have any useful tips?). The racing Viper thingy is easier, but unofortunately, not as powerfull.

Roadrunner - you're not the only person whose domestic bliss was shattered by GT3 addiction, but it's just impossible to have a 'quick go' isn't it? Perhaps if they let you save your game at the qualifying stage it would help.

I'm having many late nights trying to crack that Special licence.
It's rock hard!

Are we talking about Grand Theft Auto or Gran Tourismo?
I've got both, and they're both great fun. I like GT3 better than GTA3. Best cars are undoubtedly the F1 lookalikes. V. fast indeed.

The best bit is trying to do the monaco course with a GT1 Race Car with traction control off. Good throttle control required. I find it's easier to use analogue throttle, braking and steering.

Digga,

True - every time I start on a cheecky quick game the hours pass like minutes. I even tried to get my girlfriend hooked, to no avail, by encouraging her pathetic attempts at crashing round like dodgem car on ice. I guess I should have started her off in a front wheel drive shopping trolley, not an 800 hp rear drive f1.

It is the nuts. Try the pikes peak escudo on the test track (boost the car to 1780bhp and change the settings to get as much lift as possible) - at speeds of over 600kmh you can get airborne and glide for some distance(!)....

The thing with the awarded cars is totally random. I've completed the test course endurance race 4 times now and still not got the f1 car, you just get a random car from 4 - in these race you just have to keep trying until you get the car you want.....

Sorry Davegreen, I think this discussion has been taken hostage by GRAND TURISMO 3, (not grand theft auto - about kids staeling nova's?)

You must be a glutton for punishment. I've actually fallen asleep (literally) trying to complete a mere ten laps of that course. Boring! Seattle is far more fun.

Try doing a 100 lap endurance race! I have to do shifts with my mate - 10 laps each, alternating.

gran turismo 2 is by far the best game i have played to bad i dont have a playstation 2...

like mr tony says the car you will get when you win a race is completly random and the Speed 12 is (i think) by far the hardest car to control you will have to be a very good driver to prevent this baby to spin around on the circuit and still win the race.

Damn - I'm sorry, I think that was my fault.

Don't have GTA3 yet, but heard a few people raving about it. Is it THAT good then? The only similar game I had was Driver 2, which was an excellent fun way to learn the layout of foreign cities whilst driving recklessly.
